Survey 001 : Roleplay Format?

Okay, so I'm curious [ Haha--> >;; ]to know what your opinions are on the topic of the format of the roleplay. You see, I'm much used to those 'NeoPets' types where people just jump in and out as they please and what not--But it'd be semi-hard to utilize that on thie board [ That totally depending on how each location for the roleplay's use is made ]. However, there is another way that I found both fun and interesting that was used in a Silent Hill roleplay that I took part in some time ago:
Quote:Step 1: Decide where you want your character’s story to begin, and start a thread in that area of the forums. The title can be anything you want, so long as you include both your character’s full name and the chapter number of the thread. Since this would be your character’s first thread (or first chapter) the number would be “1”. A good example:
1. Broken Glass – Conner Aclan
The body of the post should naturally be the first post of your story. Click “post” on the bottom of the screen when you’re done.
Step 2: Keep adding posts in this thread as you progress through your story. Be sure to post the same thread until you are ready to either move to a new area or converse with another character.
Step 3: If you wish to move your character to a new area of the boards, put a little note at the end of the thread you were posting in and start a new thread elsewhere. The tag should look something like this:
(Conner has moved to Alchemilla Hospital)
Just something that will let your readers know where you’ve gone. This is called “capping” the thread.
Also, when you start your character’s next thread in the new location, be sure to once again label it with your character’s name and the appropriate number, like this:
2. Hide and Seek, Round One – Conner Aclan
You may then continue your story in the new thread.
Step 4: If you wish to interact or converse with someone else’s character, a good thing to do would be to let the person know beforehand. Even if you’re going to have a fight or other less-than-friendly interaction, informing the person will make the story flow more smoothly, since you’ll know what to expect. After you’ve done this, decide whose thread you’ll interact in. All posts of the interaction will be made in that thread, so try to choose what’s best for your story. When the matter is settled, cap the other thread and make posts for your interaction. Generally a pattern develops where first one person posts, then the other, then the first again, and so on. Check some of the threads for examples.
Step 5: If, after conversing with a character, you decide that you would like to team up with him/her, cap the interaction thread and create a new one using both of your characters’ names as the title, and be sure to also put a “T” after the chapter number of the thread. Whenever you create a new team, you start over with chapter number “1,” since that’s the first chapter you’ve created as a team. For example:

I'm usually fine with just about anything, so long it's practical.
Just from past(and current) modding/admining expriences, I noticed that some styles are actually more useful than others when it comes to what the roleplay is about, or how populated it is. Like the "world map"(since I don't know what else to call it) method is useful if there's a ton of people and it keeps forums looking cleaner. But they also get irritating or confusing if you're constantly changing locations for every "log" you have. (Which are like making chapters)
However I'm also pro to logging and sessions, meaning everytime you want to do something new, there's a new thread. Though that's usually more fit to journal RPs because of how they're built, not forums. And for pretty oblivious reasons because usually logs never get finished, they take up room, and I'm one of those people that have cleanliness obsessions XD.
So... on second thought, I'm with the aboved idea XD;;

I prefer the way you describe, and I think it's perfect, we need to develop boards that depicts FMA region such as Central, Dublith, Ishbal etc etc. and we can start a new thread with these various options.

Anyway, to start with Forbidden--Since I already bothered Anguish over an IM >8D.
I'm glad you like the idea. And uhm--Yeah xD. Each section of the FMA universe will probably be another catergory added to the actual forum. In example, Central would be the catergory--Then the sub-boards would be the Streets, the military buildings, Minor Buildings, and so fourth. The only problem I would have with that is I don't have a single clue about the locations in these places xDD;;. I mean, I have googled it, but that proved useless when the websites I visited all had different things.

Well, my humble opinion is that we just have to make the region boards (Central, Dublith, etc etc) and we can describe the place around the region (street, military headquarters etc) when we open the new thread.

D: Sorry for the delay in a reply. But now--I have a full week to myself--So yeah ;D.
I didn't forget about Ishbal--Just a tad too lazy to make it 8D;;. Ishbal is located in the section labeled "The Great Desert". [ That 'magically' appeared there a few minutes ago ;D ]
